Former Con-Ed chairman joins GAMCO board

GAMCO Investors Inc. of Rye has elected Eugene R. McGrath to its board of directors. McGrath, 64, is the former chairman and chief executive officer of Consolidated Edison Inc.
McGrath is a director of Consolidated Edison, AEGIS Insurance Services, Atlantic Mutual Insurance Services, Schering-Plough, Manhattan College, the Economic Club of New York, the Wildlife Conservation Society and is on the advisory board of Braemar Energy Ventures.
He has a degree in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College and an MBA from Iona College.
GAMCO Investors, through its subsidiaries, manages $26.6 billion in assets in private advisory accounts, mutual funds and closed-end funds, and partnerships and offshore funds.
