Willow Towers Assisted Living, a not-for-profit senior living community, has won an award for excellence in design from the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The designer was Perkins Eastman Architects. The architects’ group noted the use of bay windows as well as a two-story glass atrium that overlooks Long Island Sound. Willow Towers is operated by the United Hebrew Geriatric Center. The eight-story assisted living community has 126 apartments. This is the second design award for the community, which won the platinum award for best in senior housing from the National Home Builders Association in 2005.
