Nutrition 21 names advisory board

Nutrition 21 Inc., the Pruchase-based company that makes nutritional supplements, said this morning it has appointed a board to provide advice on research and product development. The members are Dr. Robert Golden, dean of the medicine and public health and vice chancellor for medical affairs at the University of Wisconsin; Louis Ignarro, 1998 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine and a professor of pharmacology at the University of California at Los Angeles; Dr. Francine Kaufman, director of the Comprehensive Childhood Diabetes Center and head of the Center for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles; and Dr. Ron Krauss, senior scientist and director of atherosclerosis research at the Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute.
