Airmont approves Verizon cable

The Board of Trustees in Airmont has approved Verizon Communications Inc.’s plan to provide cable television service in the village. The company still needs to get the approval of the state Public Service Commission. Verizon, the giant phone company based in Manhattan, offers cable service over the fiber network it is building.
