Mobius reports quarterly loss

Mobius Management Systems Inc. reported today that it swung to a loss in its fiscal third quarter, losing $1.7 million, or 9 cents a share. Last year, the software maker reported net income of $292,000, or a penny a share.
The Rye-based company announced earlier this month that it expected to report a loss of 8 cents to 10 cents a share.
Revenues for the quarter fell to $19.1 million from $21.6 million last year. Mobius is an agreement to be acquired by Allen Systems Group Inc. of Naples, Fla., in a deal valued at $210 million, which is expected to close later this year.
