Chestnut Ridge OK’s Verizon TV franchise

The Chestnut Ridge Board of Trustees approved an agreement on Thursday that will allow Verizon Communications Inc. to offer its FiOS TV service in the village. Chestnut Ridge is the 40th New York community to approve the video franchise, which allows Verizon to offer fiber-optic television service as an alternative to cable and satellite service.
