Mount Pleasant OKs Verizon TV franchise

Mount Pleasant has signed an agreement authorizing Verizon Communications Inc. to offer its FiOS TV service in the community. The board of trustees voted Tuesday to let Verizon offer fiber-optic television service as an alternative to cable and satellite service.
