Haights Cross Communications, a White Plains-based publisher of educational and library products, today reported a $12.6 million loss for its first quarter compared to a $12.5 million loss for the comparable quarter last year. Revenue was up 2.8 percent to $52.9 million from $51.5 million in the first quarter 2006. The increase reflected growth in the Library, Test-prep and Intervention, and Medical Education segments and was offset by a continued decline in the K-12 Supplemental Education segment, the company reported.
