June sales at Dress Barn Inc., the Montebello clothing and apparel retailer, increased 2 percent on a same-store basis, the company reported this morning. The company said sales for the five-week period ending last Saturday were $139.8 million. Sales at Dress Barn-branded stores dropped 1 percent on a same-store basis, while sales at Maurices stores increased 10 percent. Total sales at all company stores, including those that were not open in June 2006, were up 8 percent, the company said.
