Starwood’s W is among top hotels for pets

July
6

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. in White Plains has gotten a thumbs, er, paws up, from animal rights advocacy group PETA for its pet-friendly accommodations.

PETA ranks Starwood’s W among the top five most animal-friendly hotels in the country. Canine or feline guests at W hotels receive a toy and a treat, a W Hotels ID tag, clean-up bags and a custom W bed, food and water bowls in their rooms. The concierge will arrange for dog-walking or dog-sitting. If it’s the pet’s birthday, W will prepare a birthday cake.

The hotel also has a store that sells leashes, toys, food, treats, litter boxes and animal first aid kits.

Other hotels on PETA’s list include Best Western, Loews, Choice Hotels and Wyndham Worldwide affiliates Days Inn, Travelodge and Howard Johnson.
