Progenics to present results of AIDS drug tests

Progenics Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Eastview said it has been selected to present results from testing of PRO 140, an experimental drug for HIV and AIDS. The presentation will take place at the fourth annual AIDS Society Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention in Sydney, Australia.

The study is the first clinical trial of PRO 140 in HIV-infected individuals. The results showed average maximum viral load reductions of 98.5 percent, and that PRO 140 was generally well-tolerated in the study.
