Presidential Life sees rise in profits

Presidential Life Corp. of Nyack yesterday said it had second-quarter net income of $24 million, or 81 cents a share, compared to net income in the second quarter of 2006 of $17.6 million, or 60 cents a share. Revenue figures were unavailable.

The company had net investment gains of $12.4 million in the second quarter, compared to $9.2 million in the second quarter of 2006.
