Verizon Wireless, based in Orangeburg, is seeking qualified applicants to fill customer-facing positions in business sales, telesales and its Communications Stores throughout the New York metropolitan area. Last year, Verizon Wireless hired more than 800 employees locally to keep pace with the growing demand for its wireless voice and data products and services, the company said. Job requirements include one to two years of retail sales or service experience, and a college degree is highly desirable. A job fair will be held on Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Huntington Hilton, 598 Broad Hollow Road in Melville, Long Island.
