Hotel to host job fair

September
21

When the Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, opens as the county’s newest luxury hotel in November, it will need plenty of workers to do everything from vacuuming the rooms to cooking the food to checking in guests at the front desk.

Looking to fill 200 positions, the hotel will host a job fair on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Westchester County Center at 198 Central Ave. in White Plains.

“We go out of our way to create an excellent working environment for our employees, just as we aspire to create a memorable experience for our guests, said Shirley Grahn, director of human resources at The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester.

The hotel, scheduled to open Nov. 14 in downtown White Plains, advised job applicants to submit an online application to expedite an in-person interview at the job fair. To do that, applicants can go to careers.ritzcarlton.com and use the drop-down box labeled “select a location to find Westchester (Opening 2007) at the bottom of the list. On the next page, applicants should leave all fields blank and search by location, again selecting The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester. This will open up all available positions at the new hotel.

Positions are available in management, engineering, administrative assistants, culinary, finance and food & beverage, the spa and other occupations. Comprehensive health and well-being benefits are offered, according to the hotel. The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, will include 122 luxury rooms and suites, 9,000 square feet of meeting and special event space, a 500-person ballroom, a 10,000 square-foot spa and a BLT Steak restaurant.
