Jarden adds board member

Jarden Corp., the consumer products company in Rye, said this morning Richard J. Heckmann, the former executive chairman of K2 Inc., has joined Jarden’s board of directors. Jarden acquired K2, a Carlsbad, Calif. company that markets marine, outdoor and sports equipment, for $1.2 billion in August. Jarden also said Charles R. Kaye, co-president of global private equity firm Warburg Pincus LLC, has resigned from the board. He was a board member since February 2005.
