People’s bank opens second Westchester branch

People’s United Bank will open its second Westchester County at 14 S. Moger Ave. in Mount Kisco on Monday.
The Mount Kisco office is the second of 15 branches in Westchester the bank plans to open by the end of 2009, said People’s United, which is based in Bridgeport, Conn.
The company recently agreed to acquire Chittenden Corp., a Vermont banker that has more than 50 branches in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts.
