Dress Barn lowers earnings guidance

Dress Barn Inc., the retailer based in Montebello, said that in light of a drop in sales for the quarter that ended last week it now expects earnings per share of 30 cents to 32 cents, compared to 40 cents last year. The company also lowered its guidance for fiscal 2008, saying it expects to make $1.25 to $1.35 a share. The previous forecast was for a profit of $1.40 to $1.50.
