IBM Corp., the computer giant based in Armonk, said this morning it has filed a complaint against Taiwan-based ASUSTeK and its subsidiary company ASUS Computer International, alleging they are infringing on IBM patents.
IBM said it filed its complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission to seek an investigation into whether the competitors infringe on patents for certain computer products and components. IBM said it wants an order that the ASUSTeK and ASUS banned from being imported into the United States.
The company said it has tried to reach a licensing agreement with ASUSTeK.
