EVCI director resigns

December
27

EVCI Career Colleges Holding Corp. of Yonkers said today that director Arol I. Buntzman resigned on Dec. 14 from the company and from its subsidiaries, Technical Career Institutes Inc. and Pennsylvania School of Business Inc.

Buntzman’s departure was reported in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The filing also said that EVCI was unable to estimate the costs associated with the closing of its Interboro Institute on Dec. 21, or the accounting charges related to the impairment resulting from the closing.

EVCI is beset by investigations into financial and other operations. In November it said it might owe $12.7 million to the U.S. Department of Justice as a result of improperly scored and missing admissions tests.
