Atlas Air starting service to Osaka

Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. of Purchase said today that its Polar Air Cargo Worldwide Inc. subsidiary will begin service into Osaka, Japan’s Kansai International Airport from Chicago O’Hare International Airport starting Feb. 21.

Polar will run flights five times weekly between Chicago and Osaka using B747-400 freighter equipment. The new service will also provide connections from Osaka to Shanghai, as well as connecting Osaka with Polar’s U.S. destinations and the South American region.
