Armonk-based IBM Corp. and Germany’s SAP AG are jointly creating software to integrate IBM’s Lotus Notes and SAP’s Business Suite.
The companies said they have thousands of mutual customers who have been asking for software that allows them to use SAP’s business analysis tools from within Lotus Notes, an e-mail, calendar and instant messaging program.
Called “Atlantic,” the software is the latest collaboration for IBM and SAP, which have worked closely for more than 35 years. Atlantic is scheduled to ship in the fourth quarter of this year and will be sold by both companies.
