IBM Corp. of Armonk and The Cancer Institute of New Jersey said today they will work together to develop technology that would help doctors predict the way patients will respond to various treatments.
Using advanced computer and imaging technology, the researchers believe they can come up with more accurate prognoses and more personalized therapy planning, the company and institute said. That would lead to the discovery of new cancer drugs, they said.
The Cancer Institute is affiliated with Rutgers University.
