The Westchester County Industrial Development Agency yesterday formally approved $562,000 in sales tax breaks for ITT Corp. of Harrison as it prepares to move to new headquarters in nearby White Plains.
The incentive received preliminary approval in October. It comes on top of a $1 million state grant that is being provided to ITT to persuade the global manufacturer of pumps, night vision goggles and other sophisticated products to keep its headquarters in New York.
ITT will rent about 100,000 square feet at 1133 Westchester Ave. in a move scheduled to take place mid-year. The company will consolidate offices in New Jersey at the new site, for a total employment level of about 200.
