MasterCard Worldwide, the credit card company based in Purchase, and USA Technologies Inc., a Malvern, Pa. company that provides networking for wireless non-cash transactions, have added cashless payment systems to 17,500 vending systems in 17 states, including New York. The companies said the move was in response to feedback from consumers, vending operators and soft drink bottlers, as well as increased sales in machines that take the payments.
