Pace: Computer jobs outlook brighter

Pace University said information technology graduates can expect an easier job hunt.

IT job openings in Manhattan and Westchester County showed growth in the second quarter of the year, according to the university’s Pace/SkillPROOF IT Job Index Report. The IT job market grew 44 percent over the first quarter, Pace said. In Manhattan, growth was 1 percent.

In Westchester, the job categories that are growing include: IT managers; computer scientists research; computer programmers; software engineers systems; systems analysts; database administrators; and network and data analysts. Jobs on the decline include software engineers applications market; network administrators; and other specialists.
