Amalgamated signs lease

Amalgamated Life Insurance Co. said that it has signed a lease to move its corporate headquarters from Manhattan into 132,000 square feet at the former General Foods headquarters at 333 Westchester Avenue in White Plains. News of the move was first revealed on Sept. 4 when Westchester County’s Industrial Development Agency approved a package of $480,000 in tax breaks to draw Amalgamated and up to 440 full-time workers to White Plains.
