IBM lands utility contracts

IBM Corp. of Armonk announced a four-year contract to supply mainframe management services to NV Energy, the electric utility for most of Nevada. NV Energy serves some 2.4 million Nevada residents, as well as millions of tourists visiting Las Vegas each year.
In another contract, IBM will build an energy-efficient data center for Tucson Electric Power, an Arizona-based subsidiary of Unisource Energy Corp. The value of the contracts was not disclosed.
