November
14

The Westchester County government will host two upcoming workshops to provide information to minority- and women-owned businesses looking to compete for government contracts.

The first workshop, “Understanding Westchester County’s Procurement Process” will be held Monday and will show attendees how to submit a bid, request for proposal or request for quotation. The speakers will include Tracey Mitchell of the Minority- and Women-Owned Business Program, John Hsu of the Department of Public Works and James Ferrara of the Bureau of Purchase and Supplies.

The program will last from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rexcorp Platinum Mile Office Park, 711 Westchester Ave.

A seminar on “Writing a Winning Proposal” will follow on Dec. 2. That program will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at 707 Westchester Avenue, also in the Rexcorp Office Park. To register for either program, call Candy Palmer at 914-948-6098, ext. 10 or email cpalmer@westchester.org.
