Blue Hill Plaza receives recycling award

Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River recently received the 2008 Rockland Recycles Award and the Rockland County Distinguished Service Award for its recycling program that reduced waste sent to landfills. The complex, which includes two 550,000 square-foot office buildings, has saved $250,000 by reducing the disposal of solid waste by 40 percent through its 14-year-old recycling program.
