Visant Corp., a marketing and publishing services business in Armonk, reported a consolidated net loss for the fourth quarter of $2.6 million, compared to consolidated net income from continuing operations of $3.3 million a year earlier. Net sales rose 7 percent to $294.2 million.
In 2008, increased sales stemming from acquisitions were offset by lower sales volumes in Visant’s educational book unit and direct marketing operations.
