MasterCard offers ticket savings to baseball fans

MasterCard Inc., the Purchase-based credit card giant, announced a ticket savings program for fans of Major League Baseball. Fans can receive savings of 10 percent or more for some games in 2009 when they use their MasterCard cards to purchase select tickets online at MLB.com and participating team websites, according to MasterCard.

“Offering discounts to Major League Baseball game tickets is another way for us to thank our cardholders for simply choosing to pay with their MasterCard cards,” Robert Steeger, MasterCard vice president of U.S. sponsorships, said in a written statement.
