Frozen dessert chain to open New Rochelle store

Tasti D-Lite, a frozen dessert chain, is expected to open its first Westchester County store in mid-August at 1282 North Ave. in New Rochelle.

Tasti D-Lite desserts are lower in fat, calories and carbohydrates than ice cream, making the product appealing to health-conscious customers, according to the company. Tasti D-Lite has grown to more than 50 locations and has secured commitments to open over 300 locations in the coming years. Brother and sister-in-law Marc Dolfman and Yael Laifer are the owners of the New Rochelle store.
