EZMatch.com is not your typical online matchmaking site.
Instead of using the Internet’s power to link lonely couples in romantic relationships, this White Plains-based Web site’s mission is to marry budding entrepeneurs with business opportunities in the franchise world.
After three months of testing, the company recently announced that the free site is fully active.
“Until now, finding the right franchise was a frustrating, hit-or-miss process,” said Dennis Krieger, EZMatch.com chief operating officer. “EZMatch.com offers a free, easy, online solution that explores an individual’s personality and economic status, along with a host of other factors, and then matches the person with businesses that present the greatest chance of success.”
EZMatch.com compares its methodology to a dating service. Minutes after users of the Web site complete an online questionnaire, EZMatch.com provides them with a list of six or so franchise opportunities that may meet their needs. The site uses mathematical algorithms to come up with the list, after weighing the financial, geographic, social and psychological needs of the users.
“The job market is flooded with the newly unemployed,” Krieger added “Now is the time many people are in a position to follow their entrepreneurial spirit and pursue a franchise opportunity.”
EZMatch.com stores information on more than 1,200 franchisors around the country from a variety of business categories.
The site is looking to serve a target audience of 20 million adults who investigate franchises each year.
“Another misconception about franchises concerns the potential investment that may be required,” Krieger said. “While it is true that some franchises require an investment of $500,000 or more, many solid business franchises can be opened with an initial investment of less than $25,000.”
