TrophyCentral.com, an on-line retailer of trophies, medals and plaques, recently opened an office in Brewster at 16 Mt. Ebo Road, Suite 12A.
The Brewster office provides support to the company’s main offices in Marquette, Mich., and also serves as an East Coast location for shipping.
The office will be open to the public by appointment so that local customers can purchase items assembled and engraved in Brewster. Allstate Insurance Co. recently opened a new office at 59 Kensico Road in Thornwood. The office is independently owned and operated by agent Colleen Torpie. The agency sells auto, property and life insurance. It also offers insurance protection for boats, recreational vehicles and businesses.
True North Financial Solutions, a providor of investment advisory and financial planning services, recently opened at 15 Fisher Lane in White Plains. The firm will target Westchester County as a new agency for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. The manager of the office is John Blumberg, who heads a staff of 22 agents and plans to recruit 15 more agents in the coming year.
The Westchester Medical Group said it will consolidate administrative offices at 32,000 square feet of space at 2700 Westchester Ave. in Purchase by the end of September. It will add 40 to 50 more employees at the site over the next 18 months.
Chief Financial Officer Clark Yoder said the group was moving administrative offices out of the third floor of 210 Westchester Ave. in Harrison, to accommodate more clinical practice there.
The new offices also will draw staff from two other offices in central Westchester. The medical group will consolidate billing, human resources, general finance, and a call center at the new site. The group employs 510 people plus 143 doctors, Yoder said. About 150 to 160 people work in administration.
CB Richard Ellis represented the medical group in the lease, which will run at least 10 years. The building, owned by Normandy Realty Partners, would be about one-third vacant once the medical group moves in.
In early 2010, Westchester Medical Group expects to open a $7 million surgical center in Rye.
Community Mutual Savings Bank recently opened a new branch at 12 South Bedford Road in Mount Kisco. It is bank’s fifth branch and the first in northern Westchester County. The bank’s parent company is CMS Bancorp Inc. of White Plains.
Vector Marketing recently opened a new sales office in Hawthorne at 174 Brady Avenue, Suite 204. The office will be used to recruit and train new sales representatives. Vector is a marketer of cutlery and accessories that are sold directly to consumers after in-home demonstrations.
Citizens Bank recently opened a new in-store branch at the Mount Ivy Stop & Shop at 1581 Route 202 in Pomona. The branch, which offers full-service banking seven days a week, is Citizens’ fifth office in Rockland County.
Trustco Bank recently opened a new branch at 220 East Hartsdale Ave in Hartsdale. Trustco, based in Glenville, currently operates 126 branches in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Vermont and Massachusetts. The company plans to open additional locations in southern New York this year.
Attorney Hazem J. Ennabi recently opened a law office at 151 Broadaway in Hawthorne. Ennabi was a former assistant district attorney in Westchester County. The law office specializes in criminal defense, divorce, bankruptcy, real estate, family law and civil litigation.
Wachovia Securities, recently acquired by Wells Fargo & Co., will leave downtown White Plains in May for the Platinum Mile along the I-287 corridor.
Wachovia will move from offices at 10 Bank St. and 360 Hamilton Ave. and consolidate on a 74-acre campus at 1133 Westchester Ave., owned by RPW Group. Wachovia signed a minimum 10-year lease for 26,000 square feet at 1133 Westchester, the commercial brokerage Cushman & Wakefield said.
The deal is the first large office lease to be announced in 2009. RPW President and Chief Executive Robert P. Weisz said about 80 to 100 Wachovia employees are moving. Officials for Wachovia could not be reached for comment.
Weisz said the financial company was drawn by 1133’s amenities, including a conference center, an executive dining room, shuttle service to local train lines, and on-site day care. Provident Bank has signed a lease to open a branch office at the building in March, he added.
“By having it all in one building, it’s more convenient than anything, even in a downtown,” Weisz said.
About 150,000 of the 640,000 square feet at the building are available. Other tenants include ITT Corp., IBM, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, and EMC Corp. Asking rent at the building is $35 a square foot, said Glenn Walsh, senior director at Cushman & Wakefield.
Steiner Sports Marketing Inc. recently leased 40,000 square feet of office and warehouse space at 145 Huguenot St. in New Rochelle as its new corporate headquarters.
The company, which sells sports memorabilia to fans around the world, will relocate during the first quarter of 2009 from its current offices at 33 LeCount Place in New Rochelle.

KeyBank has opened its latest branch in the Lower Hudson Valley at 420 S. Riverside Ave., Croton-on-Hudson. The 2,400 square-foot branch features 24-hour walk-up ATM, expanded lobby seating, a conference room, and an after-hours depository. Dina Basciano-Vecchione has been named branch manager. Key, which acquired Union State Bank at the beginning of this year, now has 64 branches throughout the region.
Greenburgh-based ENT and Allergy Associates said it has opened an office in Mahwah, N.J., its 29th clinical office in the metro region. ENTA now has 86 physicians and more than 50 licensed audiologists.
Provident Bank has opened a new branch in Stony Point, the Montebello-based banker reported today.
The branch, at 153 S. Liberty Drive (Route 9W), replaces the previous Stony Point location across the street.
The 3,600-square-foot branch features 24-hour walk-up and drive-up ATMs and is open extended hours, including Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to 10 other sites in Rockland, Provident has branches throughout Orange County, as well as two branches each in Ulster and Sullivan, and one each in Putnam and Bergen County, N.J.

People’s United Bank plans to open a branch in White Plains later this month, the Bridgeport, Conn.-based financial-services company said today.
The new office, at 14 Mamaroneck Ave., across from the Ritz-Carlton Westchester, will open June 30, People’s United said in a written statement.
The downtown White Plains branch joins two existing branches in the county â€” in Scarsdale and Mount Kisco. In addition to those in Westchester, the company operates some 300 branches throughout Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts.
The White Plains office will employ six workers, People’s United said.
The Private Office, a company that offers shared office space, said a pair of law practices have moved into 800 Westchester Ave. in Rye Brook. The offices of attorney Scott M. Sherman and Charles J. Favata have taken space in the building.

The new home of Fordham Universityâ€™s adult education program, 400 Westchester Ave. in West Harrison, is undergoing an $8 million renovation, the buildingâ€™s owners said.
GHP Office Realty and Benerofe Properties expect to complete work on the 63,000-square-foot building by the time classes begin in September, said Andrew Greenspan, a GHP partner.
The property originally was built in the 1960s and was one of the original Platinum Mile office complexes, Greenspan said. A new roof and mechanical systems, and energy-efficient lighting and windows are being installed, he said.
Plans also call for 26 newly designed classrooms whose technological features include computerized blackboards and teleconferencing systems. The building will have a library resource center, faculty and office support space, indoor and outdoor meeting areas for student sessions, and a dining room.
The architect is Kouzmanoff Bainton of New York. The general contractor is CW Brown of Thornwood.
GHP and Benerofe bought the property from Verizon last year. Fordham has signed a 20-year lease for the entire building.
It will use 400 Westchester Ave. for its Graduate School of Business, Graduate School of Social Services, Graduate School of Education, and its master’s degree program in the School of Education. Some classes in those programs currently are being held at the former Marymount College site in Tarrytown, which Fordham took over in 2002.
